The year 2023 ends. What results did we arrive at? Last year was the second year of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. Despite enormous resources and violation of the laws and norms of war, Russia has not achieved its goals. Ukraine, too, was unable to achieve all its goals and there are many reasons for this: insufficient supplies of weapons by Western allies, weak sanctions against Russia, and so on.
In 2023, we tried to keep you updated on events in Ukraine and outside Ukraine, but those that related to Ukraine in one way or another. We wrote about the NATO summit in Vilnius and the elections in Poland, we established the podcast “Ukraine Talk” with war hero, ambassador of The Ukrainian Review Ivan Tarn.
In 2023, about 200 materials were published: these were analytical articles, press reviews, expert opinions, and interviews. Our speakers were people’s deputies of Ukraine and representatives of administrations, former and current ministers, the Danish journalist and public intellectual Per Nyholm regularly expresses his opinion on the pages of the magazine, and we twice interviewed Donald Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton.
But listing all the speakers and topics, articles and interviews would be nothing if not for our goal. We want through our activities to form a positive image of Ukraine and help Ukraine in the fight on the information front. Now this is one of the forms of work that is extremely necessary. Our voice is the voice of a democratic and European Ukraine, which in a bloody war is shaping its future destiny, inextricably linked with the values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, a strong Ukraine that will become a shield of European civilization against the threat of authoritarianism and terrorism.
