TISZA party leader Peter Magyar announced that oligarchs close to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán are transferring massive funds to distant countries. The politician urged law enforcement to freeze these assets and detain individuals involved in large-scale corruption to prevent their escape.

Peter Magyar reported this information during a video address on Facebook.
He stated that Hungarian oligarchs are actively moving billions of forints to the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, and the United States. According to Magyar, several influential families have already left Hungary. For instance, the family of multi-billionaire Lőrinc Mészáros, a close friend of Orbán, plans to fly to Dubai in the coming days. The opposition leader noted that these elites are withdrawing their children from schools and hiring private security to facilitate their departure.
Call for Law Enforcement Action
The future Prime Minister called on the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) to suspend high-value transfers linked to money laundering. He emphasized that authorities must act before the formation of a new government to ensure justice.
“I once again call on the Prosecutor General, the National Police Chief, and the head of NAV to detain the criminals who have caused thousands of billions of forints in damage to the Hungarian people, and not to allow them to flee — before the formation of a TISZA government — to countries from which extradition is currently not possible,” the politician declared.
Additionally, investigative journalist Szabolcs Panyi suggested that Viktor Orbán is seeking potential refuge in the United States. Reports also indicate that Orbán-linked circles have started selling media outlets, including TV2, at below-market prices. These actions suggest a coordinated effort to liquidate assets before a potential change in power. The politician maintains that banks have already flagged several suspicious transactions involving Antal Rogán’s associates.
