Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky said that a visit to Israel by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was planned after the Hamas attack, but it was postponed. At the same time, the ambassador called Ukraine one of the most pro-Israeli countries in Europe, Suspilne reports.

Brodsky said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

We appreciate the president’s call, which was made immediately after October 7, for world leaders to come to Israel and show solidarity, –  the Israeli diplomat said, noting that Zelenskyy himself has not yet visited the country.

The postponement of the trip was initiated by Kyiv, and there are no exact dates for the visit.

The Israeli side hopes that this visit will take place. “We will be happy to see President Zelenskyy in Israel at any time,” said Michael Brodsky.

Brodsky noted the great support for Israel from Ukraine, in particular from the Ukrainian public.

The position of Ukraine was definitely noticed, the support from Ukraine was definitely noticed. Ukraine, as I have said in many interviews, is one of the most pro-Israeli countries in Europe. And we feel it at all levels, – the ambassador said.

It is known that The Times of Israel, citing Israeli diplomatic sources, wrote that Volodymyr Zelenskyy postponed his visit to Israel, which was to take place on November 7, due to a leak of information about the trip’s preparations.
