The House Select Committee on China in a letter to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan called for determining what data on countering American weapons Russia may be passing to China, Suspilne informs.
This was reports by Reuters.
The committee considers it necessary to pay attention to the possible vulnerability of American weapons and military equipment supplied to Ukraine.
We must anticipate and act on the assumption that Russia is passing on information to China about the vulnerabilities of U.S. and allied weapons systems and ways to counter them, – the letter, cited by Reuters, reads.
The lawmakers refer to media and think tank publications that claim China’s support for the Russian military industry.
The Select Committee called on the White House to “assess Russia’s ability to withstand U.S. military equipment” deployed in Ukraine and the extent to which Moscow shares “lessons learned” with Beijing.
In addition, on July 11, at a press conference, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that China is providing Russia with dual-use equipment, microelectronics, and many other tools that allow Russia to build missiles, bombs, aircraft, and weapons that they use to attack Ukraine.
