Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the agreement between the United States and Iran on a two-week ceasefire and the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz.

Sybiha shared his response on X, while Zelenskyy posted his statement on Telegram.
Sybiha: “American resolve” should also target Russia
Ukraine’s foreign minister welcomed the agreement between the United States and Iran and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time, he stressed that the United States should show the same resolve to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Sybiha said that pressure and a clear position from Washington can force Moscow to cease fire.
Zelenskyy: Ukraine is ready for “mirror silence”
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also supported the ceasefire decision in the Middle East. He called it a step toward saving lives and creating conditions for diplomacy.

He emphasized that Ukraine has repeatedly proposed a similar approach in its war with Russia.
According to the president, Kyiv stands ready to halt strikes in response if Russia does the same. He said such a “mirror silence” regime could create conditions for peace agreements.
