The United States will announce new supplies of military assistance to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
This was announced by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on board the presidential plane that flew to France, Suspilne reports.
“I think that in the coming weeks we can expect announcements of further supplies of significant capacity to Ukraine. I think we need to send a clear message to Putin that he cannot outlast us and that he cannot divide us”, — Sullivan said aboard the presidential plane that flew to France.
He said that it would be “a great opportunity in the coming weeks to put not just a period at the end of that sentence, but an exclamation point.”
Sullivan also noted that weapons arriving on the battlefield on the scale and in the quantity that has been seen over the past few days and weeks have had an impact on the situation at the front.
In addition, it is known that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with U.S. President Joe Biden in Normandy, France, this week and next week at the G7 meeting in Italy.
“So, in a little over a week, President [Biden] will have two significant meetings with President Zelensky”, — Sullivan stated.
The French news agency AFP wrote that in this way, Biden probably wants to compensate for his absence at the upcoming Peace Summit in Switzerland. Instead of attending the summit, he will attend a fundraiser for his US election campaign.
Instead of US President Joe Biden, the Swiss summit will be attended by US Vice President Kamala Harris and Advisor Jake Sullivan.
