Former President of the United States and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump refused to confirm or deny information about phone conversations with Vladimir Putin after he left the White House in 2021.

Donald Trump said this in a speech at the Chicago Economic Forum on Tuesday, October 15, European Pravda reports.

The moderator asked Trump about his alleged conversations with Putin after 2021.

Well, I don’t comment on that, but I’ll tell you this: if I did it, it’s a smart thing to do. If I’m friends with people, if I can have relationships with people, that’s good, not bad, from a government perspective, – Trump replied.

Trump also mentioned that Putin has 2,000 nuclear warheads, just like the United States.

Russia has never had a president that was so respected, but more importantly or less importantly, I think I came to Russia and people said he (Trump – Ed.) loves Putin and Putin loves him, – Trump added.

The Washington Post editor Bob Woodward wrote in his book “War”, citing a source in Trump’s entourage, that the politician has had 7 phone conversations with Putin since 2021.
