Russia will not participate in the second Peace Summit, which Kyiv plans to hold by the end of 2024, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, Radio Svoboda reports.
Russian representatives have not participated in any meetings within the framework of the “Burgenstock process” and are not going to participate. This process itself has nothing to do with the settlement, – she said, answering a question about the second Peace Summit.
According to Zakharova, the goal of the new summit is to “push through the absolutely unviable “Zelenskyy formula” as a non-alternative basis for resolving the conflict”, to gain the support of the “world majority” and “on its behalf to put forward an ultimatum of surrender to Russia”.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also spoke about “another manifestation of the fraud of the Anglo-Saxons and their Ukrainian puppets”.
The so-called second summit pursues the same goal – to push through the absolutely unviable “Zelenskyy formula” as a non-alternative basis for resolving the conflict, to achieve its support from the World Majority and to present Russia with an ultimatum of surrender on its behalf, – Zakharova said.
At the same time, Zakharova said that Russia was ready to discuss “really serious proposals that take into account the situation on the ground, the emerging geopolitical realities and the corresponding initiative formulated by Putin on June 14”, which was voiced by him on the eve of the first Peace Summit and looks like a proposal for Ukraine’s surrender.
