British weapons can be used by Ukrainian forces in operations in Russia. But there is an exception – long-range Storm Shadow missiles.

A spokesman for the UK Ministry of Defense said that Ukraine has “the right to self-defense against Russia’s illegal attacks” and “this does not exclude operations inside Russia.”
In the process of providing (weapons), we make it clear that the equipment must be used in accordance with international law, – the spokesman said.
The policy means that British tanks, anti-tank missiles and other military equipment provided to Ukraine can be used inside Russia as part of Ukraine’s defense against Russian invasion.
However, restrictions on the use of UK-supplied long-range Storm Shadow missiles, which can only be used within Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders, remain in place.
Recently, the British television channel Sky News reported that Ukrainian troops may have used British Challenger 2 tanks in Russia. The Defense Ministry refused to comment on the use of British tanks in Russia.
