Israel gives Ukraine an early warning system for air attacks

07.10.2024

Ukraine has already received an early warning system for air attacks from Israel. The Ukrainian side is responsible for its implementation, Babel reports.

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky said this in an interview with Dzerkalo Tyzhnia.

He said that Israel had fulfilled its obligations and handed over “everything that was supposed to be handed over”. According to him, the process lasted “many months”.

We have fulfilled our promises and handed over to the Ukrainian side everything we were supposed to hand over, – he assured.

Michael Brodsky said that questions about the work of the airborne early warning system should be addressed to the Ukrainian structures involved in its implementation.

Israel’s representative to the UN, Gilad Erdan, announced the transfer of an airborne early warning system to Ukraine in February 2024. The system is capable of detecting missile and drone launches, calculating their flight path, and calculating the coordinates of the crash site with high accuracy, which narrows the radius of the potentially dangerous zone during shelling. In addition, the system determines how much time endangered residents have to find shelter.
