Iran could transfer ballistic missiles to Russia within days – Bloomberg

Ukraine’s European partners expect that Iran is preparing to transfer its ballistic missiles to Russia. Some officials say this could happen in the next few days.

Bloomberg writes about this, citing its own sources, Hromadske reports.

Thus, over the 2.5 years of full-scale war, Iran has provided Russia with hundreds of attack drones, but the potential transfer of ballistic missiles could be an alarming development in the conflict.

Currently, Russia’s ballistic missile arsenal consists of domestic weapons and less accurate North Korean weapons. Meanwhile, the United States and other NATO allies have repeatedly warned Tehran against such a step and are making diplomatic efforts to prevent it.

Information about the potential transfer of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia is not new. Back in February, Reuters wrote that Tehran was going to provide about 400 surface-to-surface missiles that can hit targets at a distance of 300 to 700 kilometers.

At the same time, the United States stated that it saw no evidence of the transfer of these weapons. Iran called the allegations “unfounded” and denied that it had sent ballistic missiles to Russia. This information was also denied by the General Intelligence Directorate.

As early as August, Reuters, citing sources in European intelligence, wrote that Iran could transfer hundreds of short-range, satellite-guided Fath-360 ballistic missiles to Russia.
