In our new interview, we met with Danish journalist Per Nyholm. For more than 50 years, he has worked as an abroad correspondent for the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. He documented numerous events from the collapse of Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union to the war with the Russian occupiers in Ukraine.
We spoke with Per during the final days of his stay in Ukraine. He managed to conduct a number of interviews and talk with experts, managers, and military personnel, and visit Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson.

This time he found himself in the role of an interviewee. Per Nyholm has his own sharp and uncompromising view of today’s Russia and the war it has launched against Ukraine. He is confident that Europe should support Ukraine as much as possible because this war is a struggle of civilizations and Ukraine is now defending European values — democracy, and human rights from the encroachments of a deeply corrupt fragment of the Soviet empire called Russia, which wants to take revenge for the collapse of the Soviet Union.
