UK and Germany to arm Ukrainian Sea King helicopters with modern missiles – The Defense Post

Ukrainian Sea King helicopters will receive new weapons from the United Kingdom and Germany. The UK government’s website says it is about “modern missile systems”.

The joint communiqué states that the special teams and defense industries of the countries will work closely together to ensure that Ukraine succeeds and achieves long-term peace.

In the short term, we will fully provide Ukraine with new defense capabilities, equipping the Sea King helicopters donated by Germany with modern missile systems, – the statement said.

Norway will provide F-16s and NASAMS systems to Ukraine this year as part of a €500 million aid package

Norway is preparing a new €500 million aid package for Ukraine, which will include F-16 fighter jets and NASAMS air defense systems.

According to Hennadiy Kovalenko, director of the Defense Ministry’s International Cooperation Department, during a visit to Odesa on October 29-30, Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram announced another aid package that includes the provision of F-16 fighter jets and NASAMS systems to Ukraine.

Norway also announced its readiness to invest in Ukraine’s defense industry.

Sweden has delivered a batch of PBV302 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine, – Ministry of Defense

Swedish tracked armored personnel carriers PBV 302 (Pansarbandvagn 302) have already arrived in Ukraine and are now in service with the Land Forces. This was reported by the press service of the Land Forces.

The soldiers are satisfied with the combat vehicle and its driving characteristics, especially the defenders note the ease of operation, soft ride and good ergonomics.

These armored vehicles were in service with the Swedish army until 2014.

British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves said she will give the Defense Ministry an additional £2.9 billion ($3.8 billion) next year and pledged that the annual £3 billion ($3.9 billion) support for Ukraine will continue “for as long as it takes”.

She added that the pledge to continue annual military support for Ukraine was in addition to the £2.26 billion ($2.93 billion) loan, which is part of the G7 emergency revenue sharing agreement announced last week to help the country in its war against Russia.

Generators, ammunition, mortars and more from Lithuania to Ukraine before winter

Lithuania has handed over a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, which includes ammunition, mortars and generators, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense has announced.

This aid package was provided to Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces’ winterization efforts. The Ministry of Defense reminded that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth more than 705 million euros.
