South Korea considers supplying Ukraine with 155 mm shells as a countermeasure to North Korean troops in Russia – Donga

The South Korean government is considering supplying Ukraine with 155-mm artillery shells in response to the deployment of North Korean forces in Russia. President Yoon Suk Yeol discussed the situation with North Korean soldiers in Russia with the Prime Minister of Canada.

One of the government sources added that the final decision on such supplies should be made by the National Security Council. It will also be discussed in detail whether the 155 mm artillery shells will be provided bypassing the US or directly transferred to Ukraine.

Tomahawk: It was confidential information between Ukraine and the White House, Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine’s request for Tomahawk missiles was one of the secret parts of the Victory Plan and was outraged by the “leak” of this information.

When many countries started supporting the Victory Plan, you see what is happening now in the media, they said that Ukraine wants or wanted to get a lot of missiles, such as Tomahawk and so on, – he said.

According to the president, the Tomahawk issue was confidential information between Ukraine and the United States.

US leaders urge Biden to allow Poland to shoot down missiles over Ukraine – The Hill

The bipartisan leaders of the U.S. Helsinki Commission have appealed to U.S. President Joe Biden. They ask him to authorize Poland, as a NATO ally, to shoot down enemy missiles over Ukraine.

According to The Hill, Republican Joe Wilson and Democrat Steve Cohen sent a letter to Biden. In it, they ask that Poland be given the authority to “intercept and neutralize missiles over Ukraine, especially those that threaten to approach Polish airspace”.

Their request is based on the fact that Poland has the initiative to use its air defense systems and potentially extend their coverage not only to Polish skies but also to Ukrainian ones.

Norway will allocate $85.9 million to purchase necessary equipment and weapons for F-16, – Norwegian Defense Minister

The Government of Norway will allocate NOK 1.3 billion (over USD 118.2 million) for the purchase of necessary equipment and weapons for F-16 fighters. Ukraine will receive the planes by the new year.

This was announced by Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in Odesa on Wednesday.

The first transfer of F-16s from Norway to Ukraine will be made this year, – the Norwegian minister said.

He noted that in addition to the aircraft themselves, Ukraine will need components to support them.

We will help finance the purchase of weapons systems for the F-16, as well as various components to support them. NOK 1.3 billion will be spent on this, – the Norwegian Defense Minister said.

Ukraine is already producing almost 20 Bohdan self-propelled artillery systems per month, – Zelenskyy

In an address following his visit to the Nordic countries, the President of Ukraine said that Ukraine already produces almost 20 Bohdan self-propelled artillery systems per month.

The visit also resulted in an agreement on new support packages for Ukraine’s defense sector. They also discussed investments in arms production in Ukraine and the development of joint defense projects.
