The President of Ukraine said this in an interview with the Japanese TV channel NHK.
According to him, Kyiv will begin detailed discussions with the relevant countries on the issue of territorial integrity. He said he would create an action plan to achieve peace by the end of November.
Patience, support and diplomatic pressure are three factors for a just end to the war, – the president said in an interview with the Japanese media.
First batch of F-16 fighters arrives in Ukraine
On August 1, it was reported that the first batch of F-16 fighter jets from NATO allies had arrived in Ukraine.
According to Bloomberg’s sources, a “small number” of American-made F-16 military aircraft arrived in Ukraine. However, the deadline for their delivery to Ukraine was the end of this month, and the allies met it.

The Czech Republic is considering the possibility of creating a Ukrainian Legion, Czech Defense Minister Jana Černohová said.
The idea is to allow Ukrainian refugees to voluntarily join the Legion. Earlier, Poland offered to organize military training for Ukrainians outside Ukraine, including refugees.
Representatives of the world’s leading universities support Ukraine’s accession to NATO
More than 150 representatives of American and European universities in an open letter supported Ukraine’s accession to NATO, unlike their colleagues who criticized Kyiv’s possible accession to the Alliance.
In total, 158 people, including representatives of North American and European universities, diplomats, economists, and journalists, publicly supported Ukraine’s accession to NATO. In particular, the signatories include representatives of Yale, Cambridge, California, Harvard, and other leading universities.
It is time to recognize that Russia opposes Ukraine’s membership in NATO only because it will prevent its further aggression against this country, – the signatories emphasize.
Ukraine will soon receive $3.9 billion from the United States
In the near future, the state budget of Ukraine will receive almost $3.9 billion in a new grant from the United States.
According to the Ministry of Finance, this is the first tranche of direct budget support from the United States in 2024. The planned amount of financial assistance from the United States for the current year is $7.8 billion.
The funds raised will be used to pay salaries to teachers, rescuers, and civil servants, as well as to support priority social expenditures, such as payments to internally displaced persons, low-income families, and people with disabilities.
Ukraine invites China to interim meetings before the second Peace Summit
Ukraine has invited China to take part in at least interim meetings before the second peace summit to be held in the near future.
According to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi, during Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba’s visit to China, “the logic of Ukraine’s actions after the first peace summit was discussed in detail”.

The Chinese side has not yet announced whether it will join the interim meetings.

The US provides Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 1.7 billion dollars
The United States has allocated another $200 million security assistance package to Ukraine. It will include air defense systems, HIMARS and Javelin missiles.
The $200 million package includes air defense interceptor missiles, ammunition for missile systems and artillery, and anti-tank weapons.
This is the 9th package of military aid to Kyiv since US President Joe Biden signed a decree in April to provide Ukraine with about $61 billion in aid.
