On May 14, during a briefing, Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said that the situation in Ukraine at the front is difficult. In addition, it is worrying that the Russian army has taken advantage of the situation at the front and is trying to advance.
The Pentagon said that against the background of the situation at the front, the United States is making significant efforts to speed up the delivery of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
According to Pat Ryder, the aggravation of the situation on the front in Ukraine was also influenced by the pause in the approval of aid from the US.
“Incremental as they may be, it’s certainly concerning. And we’re going to continue to work closely with Ukraine and our international allies and partners to get them the security assistance they need”, — he said.
When asked whether American weapons are quickly reaching Ukraine, Pat Ryder said that the United States is doing everything possible to provide the necessary weapons, as well as critical ammunition.
“We, as you’ve heard, Secretary Austin (ed. — US Secretary of Defence) and others say we are working very hard to rush aid into Ukraine. Again, it’s a challenging situation on the battlefield right now in Ukraine. But all accounts are, you know, that they continue to take measures to defend their territory. And we’re going to do everything we can to get them the critical munitions and supplies that they need”, — Pentagon press secretary Pat Ryder added.
The Pentagon Press Secretary also assured that USA will continue to work closely with Ukraine and international partners so that Ukraine can receive all the necessary security assistance.
