On April 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed six documents with Azerbaijan during his visit. These agreements cover several areas, including security.

Details
Ukrinform reported Zelenskyy’s statements following his meeting with Ilham Aliyev. According to the Ukrainian president, the meeting was productive, and both sides signed six documents. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine’s top priority remains security. At the same time, he noted that more details will be shared later by the teams involved.
“We signed six documents today. Our teams will definitely provide more details later. These agreements cover different areas. However, the number one priority today is security. This includes the defense-industrial sector. Ukraine has demonstrated resilience during this war against the aggressor, and today it shares its experience,” Zelenskyy said.
In addition, he wrote on social media that the key focus of the meeting was Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. The leaders also discussed continuing energy initiatives and launching new ideas.
“I am grateful to Azerbaijan for 11 packages of energy assistance, including during the last difficult winter. Special attention was given to humanitarian support for Ukraine and our efforts to restore peace,” Zelenskyy stated.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian president stressed that Ukraine and Azerbaijan plan to develop joint production. He added that he had already spoken with Ukrainian experts currently working in Azerbaijan.
“Of course, we will develop our cooperation and co-production. These are very important areas that will definitely strengthen the security of our countries and increase trade turnover, which we truly aim to expand,” he said.
First Visit
Zelenskyy also pointed out that this was his first visit to Azerbaijan since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Although he had previously met with the Azerbaijani president, those meetings took place outside Azerbaijan.
“I thank Azerbaijan for supporting our sovereignty and territorial integrity. Without a doubt, Ukraine has always supported Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. However, during this war, this is my first visit to Azerbaijan, and I am grateful for it,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, The Ukrainian Review reported that France offered Greece a deal to transfer all its Mirage 2000 jets to Ukraine. In return, Athens could receive a discount on purchasing new Dassault Rafale jets.
