President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had given a task to Ukrainian diplomats and asked international partners to finish with a peace plan that provides for the end of the war by November this year, Suspilne writes.
He said this in an interview with representatives of the French media.
Everything will be written there (in this document – ed.). There will be territorial integrity, sovereignty, etc. And this plan will be prepared for the second peace summit, – Zelenskyy explained.
The President added that most world leaders and he himself believe that Russia should be present at the second peace summit, otherwise the desired results will not be achieved.
Because Russia is at war against Ukraine. And it is a party to this war, so the whole world needs Russian representatives to be at the second summit. I do not want them (Russia – ed.) to block the process of preparing a joint plan. We will prepare it, and it will be on the table. And, please, since the whole world wants them (Russians – ed.) to be at this table, we cannot be against it, because it is important for us to stop them, – Zelenskyy said.
At the same time, he emphasized that this does not mean that at this moment we will be on the borders of 1991.
I believe that a just peace for Ukraine is to restore all territorial integrity, but this does not mean that (this will happen – ed.) only through weapons. I believe that today we are standing at the front while Russia wants to fight. If we have a peace plan, a strong position, and the majority of countries agree to it, then we can resolve these issues diplomatically if Russia wants to, – the president said.
At the end of June this year, Zelenskyy informed that Ukraine was forming teams and groups that would develop action plans based on the “peace formula.”
