Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday, October 2, for a visit.

This was reported to Suspilne by the USAID office in Ukraine.

The main purpose of the visit is to reaffirm the United States’ commitment to cooperate with Ukraine and to provide assistance to Ukraine in preparing for the coming winter.

I have just arrived in Kyiv on my third visit since Russia’s full-scale invasion. I am in awe of the resilience of the Ukrainian people and eager to hear what more we can do to support them in their quest for freedom and independence, – Power wrote on social media site X.

During her visit, the USAID chief will meet with government officials, educators, youth, anti-corruption activists, and leaders of the energy and IT sectors.

This is Power’s third visit to Ukraine since 2020. He aims to emphasize how USAID’s development, humanitarian, and economic assistance supports Ukraine in its fight for freedom and democracy, while also building long-term resilience and prosperity, the organization said.
