During their recent visit to Kyiv, representatives of the U.S. Department of State familiarized themselves with the elements of Ukraine’s victory plan.
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said this at a briefing, Suspilne reports.
We share the assessment of Thomas-Greenfield (US Ambassador to the United Nations – ed.). As President Zelensky said, he looks forward to presenting this plan in detail to the president (Joe Biden – ed.) in the coming days and weeks, and I think we will wait for that meeting before drawing any further conclusions about it, – he said.
However, Miller refused to comment on whether there is any timeframe for implementing the victory plan.
I think I should let President Zelensky speak to the details of it, – the State Department spokesman said.
Earlier, US Permanent Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said that the United States had already familiarized itself with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plan to end the war and considered it a workable option.
On September 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announces his intention to present Ukraine’s victory plan to US President Joe Biden and both presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. On September 16, Zelenskyy said that the victory plan was more than 90% complete and contained five points, including military and economic support for Ukraine.
