Ukraine will deploy military specialists to the Gulf countries to counter aerial attacks. Ukrainian experts will share unique experience in intercepting Iranian drones and cruise missiles. This decision follows official requests from the United States and regional nations.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reported this during a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten in Kyiv. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine has already begun making a practical contribution to global stabilization. Specifically, Kyiv coordinates efforts with partners to ensure that instability around Iran does not create additional challenges for Europe.
“The countries of the region and the US turned to Ukraine for support. We will provide them with the necessary means. Certainly, first of all, the expertise, the experience of our military for protection against ‘Shaheds’ and cruise missiles,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
Assistance in Repelling Attacks and Technology Exchange
Ukraine possesses the world’s most extensive experience in combating modern Iranian technologies. The President is convinced that European countries should also adopt this experience to strengthen their own defenses. Currently, the parties are discussing a bilateral exchange of scarce defense equipment.
“And they will be sent with the appropriate defense capabilities. Much is being discussed in this dialogue; if we are talking about increasing certain means, then we would very much like it to be an opportunity on both sides. You know which means we have a deficit of. We understand that the Gulf countries have a deficit of. That is, we are talking about this as well. Next week, when the experts are on-site, they will look and help, because they are going immediately with the capability to help. We will wait for the first meetings, then we will move further,” explained Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Russian Offensive Plans
Alongside international cooperation, Ukraine continues to repel Russia’s full-scale aggression. The main goal of Russia in the spring offensive remains the capture of the entire Donetsk and Luhansk regions. According to Zelenskyy, Moscow’s plans have not changed, but the Defense Forces have partially thwarted them. Over the past month and a half, control over approximately 400–435 square kilometers of territory has been regained in southern Ukraine.
An important aspect is that Russia continues to support the Iranian regime by transferring certain technologies in exchange for drones.
Zelenskyy noted:
“We understand exactly what they provided to them. I do not know what volume they will be ready to provide, but the good thing is that the Iranians are currently not providing Russia with missiles for attacks against us and some other types of weapons. This is what we see.”
Previously, The Ukrainian Review reported that the US turned to Ukraine for assistance in defending against Iranian drones in the Middle East.
