The Ukrainian industry has already invested $4 billion in production, and this funding is expected to increase in 2025. The priority is to develop domestic drones and long-range weapons, including ballistic missiles.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov during the International Defense Industries Forum (DFNC2), Hromadske reports.
We have recently been focusing on missile and drone programs. Next year or by the end of this year, you will hear a lot about a large missile program. We have already started working on ballistic missiles, – the Ukrainian Defense Minister said.
Mr. Umerov said that the Defense Ministry is actively working to attract foreign partners to establish joint ventures to develop the defense industry. Important elements of cooperation are the conclusion of multi-year contracts for the production, supply and maintenance of weapons.
