US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will not meet this week with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is attending the UN General Assembly, Suspilne reports.
This was informed by the Associated Press, citing an unnamed official from Trump’s campaign.
According to him, no meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy was scheduled.
During his visit to the United States, Zelenskyy plans to meet with Biden and Harris in Washington.
Earlier, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he might meet with Zelenskyy. Journalists asked Trump if he intended to meet with the Ukrainian president, and he replied: “I think so”. Trump did not give any other details.
On September 24, in a speech to voters in the state of Georgia, Trump said that if re-elected president, he would put an end to the US involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine, which Democrats Kamala Harris and Joe Biden allegedly led into.
Also at a rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump called him “the greatest salesman on earth”, who receives billions of dollars every time he comes to the United States.
