The victory plan that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to present to President of the United States (US) Joe Biden contains four key points, including the continuation of the operation in the Kursk region of Russia, Suspilne reports.
According to journalists of The Times, they have familiarized themselves with Ukraine’s victory plan and learned that it contains four key points:
- providing Ukraine with security guarantees similar to Article 5 of the NATO charter, but there is no mention of joining the Alliance;
- continuation of the offensive of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation to provide a territorial “bargaining chip”;
- a request for “specific” modern weapons;
- international financial assistance to rebuild Ukraine’s shattered economy.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the plan needs the swift support of US President Joe Biden and other Western leaders so that Ukraine can start negotiations by the end of the year from a strong position.
I believe this is a historic mission. Let’s do it all today, while all the officials who want Ukraine to win are in office, – Zelenskyy said.
He did not disclose all the details of the plan before meeting with President Biden at the White House on Thursday, September 26. Zelenskyy also plans to present the plan to two presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, as well as world leaders.
