NATO is actively studying the use of maritime drones. This development of Malyuk’s team has completely changed the idea of modern warfare at sea, 24 Channel reports.

Political scientist Taras Zahorodnyi writes about this. The expert also emphasizes that the SBU maritime drones have changed the situation in the Black Sea in favor of our country.

The Ukrainian development was ahead of its time, and that is why the methodology of its use is now being studied by leading intelligence agencies, navies and armies around the world. Successful attacks on the Crimean bridge and dozens of Russian ships proved the effectiveness of our strategy and tactics, – the political scientist believes.

Taras Zahorodnyi also emphasizes the financial side of the matter.

Naval drones are hundreds of times cheaper than ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. However, this has not prevented drones from dramatically changing the situation in the Black Sea. And when we talk about the SSU’s development, Sea Baby is not just a drone, but a multi-purpose platform that can also perform remote mining and fire from the Grad multiple rocket launcher system” – the expert said.

The Wall Street Journal recently wrote about naval drones.

A quote from the SSU development engineers caught my eye: “We are doing many things that no one else in the world has done”. Judging by how actively the North Atlantic Alliance has begun to study maritime drones, Ukrainian engineers have every reason to make such statements this time, – the political scientist summarizes.

In addition, earlier it became known that Rear Admiral Timothy Henry, Deputy Commander of the Joint Command of NATO Forces in Norfolk (Virginia, USA), said that Ukraine’s successful experience in destroying a significant part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet through the effective use of Security Service of Ukraine maritime drones and other technologies is the subject of study by NATO countries.
