Joint meeting of the governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic is taking place in Prague — Shmyhal

The team of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, headed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, is holding joint intergovernmental consultations with its Czech counterparts in Prague today, reported Radiosvoboda

This was announced on July 16 by the head of the Ukrainian government, Denys Shmyhal.

The subject of our dialogue is the supply of ammunition, integration into the EU and NATO, joint projects and production, infrastructure, and energy, – the Prime Minister wrote.

Shmyhal also announced that a number of bilateral documents are expected to be signed: “I am grateful for the support of Ukraine and fruitful cooperation. We continue to deepen relations for the sake of a strong, peaceful, and secure Europe”.

The Czech government noted that during the meeting, they will discuss, among other things, support for Czech exports and the involvement of Czech companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

In parallel, bilateral meetings of individual ministries are taking place to discuss topics such as improving transport links between the two countries or cooperation in the healthcare sector, – the post says.

The Czech side will be represented by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan, as well as heads of the ministries of regional development, health, defense, foreign affairs, industry and trade, transport, education, agriculture, science, research and innovation, and others.

The previous joint meeting of the Czech and Ukrainian governments took place on October 31, 2022, in Kyiv.

Earlier, Czech President Petr Pavel said that in July and August the country would send Ukraine another 50,000 pieces of artillery ammunition.
