Tehran has submitted an alternative proposal to Washington to end the conflict through Pakistani mediation. The document demands a complete cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of American forces from the region. Currently, the parties are discussing the conditions for stabilizing the situation in the Middle East.

CNN reported that Iran officially rejected the American idea of a two-month truce.

Instead, Tehran insists on a final settlement of the conflict within 30 days. The Iranian side demands an immediate ceasefire on all fronts, including the territory of Lebanon. This plan is effectively an ultimatum in response to previous White House initiatives.

Tehran’s conditions and security guarantees

The proposed document covers a wide range of political and economic issues. In particular, Iran seeks to obtain legal guarantees of protection against any military aggression in the future. A key condition is the withdrawal of US units from areas bordering Iranian territory. Additionally, Tehran demands the lifting of the naval blockade and the implementation of a new management mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz.

The economic bloc of the proposals includes demands for the complete removal of international sanctions. Tehran also insists on unfreezing its state assets abroad and the payment of reparations. The content of these demands was confirmed by Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing his own sources. After fulfilling these points, Iran proposes holding a separate round of negotiations regarding its nuclear program.

Trump’s response

US President Donald Trump expressed significant skepticism regarding the Iranian initiative. He noted that he would study the text carefully but doubted its acceptability.

“I will be looking at the Plan that Iran just sent us shortly, but I can’t imagine it will be acceptable, as they haven’t yet paid a high enough price for what they’ve done to Humanity and the World over the last 47 years,” the American leader wrote on the Truth Social network.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi emphasized that further developments depend solely on Washington. Currently, Tehran is waiting for an official US response. The situation remains tense, as previous rounds of consultations in Pakistan did not yield the desired results.
