Germany has allocated a new package of military aid to Ukraine, according to a statement on the federal government’s website, Radiosvoboda reports.
According to the agency, the Armed Forces will receive:
- Patriot system with spare parts and missiles for it;
- 2 TRML-4D self-propelled multifunctional radars (9 have already been delivered);
- 9 thousand rounds of ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft tanks;
- ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks;
- 55 thousand 155 mm caliber shells;
- 30 Vector reconnaissance UAVs with spare parts;
- 200 mobile devices for jamming drones;
- 10 autonomous marine boats; 4 Wisent 1 engineering tanks;
- Bergepanzer 2 armored evacuation vehicle with spare parts;
- 10 armored vehicles;
- 2 patrol pickups.
In addition, SatCom satellite communication terminals, night vision goggles, various types of rifles, machine guns, 40-mm ammunition, smoke bombs, explosives and detonators were transferred, – the German government said.
Also on June 5, the third Patriot air defense missile system arrived in Ukraine from Germany.
And on June 20, it became known that Romania had decided to transfer an additional Patriot system to Ukraine.
At the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine in Berlin on June 11, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs at least seven Patriot systems to protect major urban agglomerations from Russian attacks.
