Donald Trump, the future candidate for the presidency of the United States from the republicans, may make Elon Musk his adviser in the event of his return to the White House.
The Wall Street Journal writes about this with reference to sources, informs Babel.
That role has yet to be fully agreed upon, but Trump and Musk have already discussed ways to give the Tesla owner influence over policies related to border security and the economy, the sources said.
Also, Elon Musk, together with billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, told Trump about the plan they developed to invest in a project to prevent voter fraud.
In addition, the businessmen told Trump about an elite lobbying campaign in which Musk and his political allies are holding meetings with influential business leaders to persuade them not to support President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.
Elon Musk’s potential job is likely to be in a position previously held by Isaac Perlmutter, the former Marvel chairman and confidant of Peltz and Trump, the sources said.
At the time, Isaac Perlmutter was working for the Department of Veterans Affairs as an advisor along with two other members of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. They spoke with department staff and expressed their opinions on a number of issues, including the budget, mental health initiatives, software purchases, and repairs to the department’s record keeping systems.
It is known that Elon Musk previously worked in business advisory groups of the White House during the Trump presidency. He resigned in 2017 due to disagreement with Trump’s decision to withdraw the US from the Paris Climate Agreement.
