France will train and equip another Ukrainian brigade, – Zelenskyy

Ukraine has agreed with the French government to equip another army brigade with French weapons as part of military assistance.

We are in the third year of a full-scale war, and our soldiers on the front line need to be restored. That is why we are urgently working to equip our brigades. We are already cooperating: France has equipped one brigade, and we have an agreement on another, – said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Sweden will provide Ukraine with an aid package worth €63 million

The Swedish government will provide SEK 720 million (EUR 63 million) in support to Ukraine as part of previous military aid packages.

Part of these funds – namely, 20 million euros – will be used to support Ukraine’s defense industry, within the framework of the Danish model, which aims to support procurement of Ukrainian industry in accordance with Ukraine’s proposals. The Swedish government also intends to allocate about 43 million euros for a number of initiatives launched by multilateral organizations to provide quick and effective support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

South Korean delegation to visit Ukraine to share information on DPRK troops

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said that a South Korean delegation will visit Ukraine this week (until November 3) to share information about North Korea’s troops being sent to Russia and discuss cooperation measures.

The South Korean delegation’s visit to Ukraine will take place after it holds a briefing for the EU’s Political and Security Committee on October 29.

It also became known that after a telephone conversation with the President of South Korea, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the countries will soon exchange delegations to coordinate actions in response to the sending of DPRK soldiers to Russia.

Romania may shoot down drones that illegally violate its airspace, draft law published by the Defense Ministry – Reuters

Romania’s Ministry of Defense has drafted a law that allows shooting down drones that illegally violate the country’s airspace, based on the level of threat and risk to human life and property.

The measures proposed in the draft law are gradual: from establishing the location and identification of the aircraft to attempts to contact it, intercept it, and fire warning shots.

According to the proposed draft law, allied systems stationed in Romania can also take part in any actions in accordance with existing collective defense agreements with NATO and EU member states.

Swiss President calls for revision of ban that currently prevents re-export of Swiss-made weapons to Ukraine from other countries – Reuters

The Swiss president has said she favors a review of the ban on the re-export of Swiss-made weapons from other countries to Ukraine. Viola Amherd said that the embargo is harmful to Swiss industry and security.

I personally believe that we must take a step forward for our industry, – said Viola Amherd.

The Swiss president also emphasized that the country will not directly sell or supply weapons to warring countries.
