11.11.2025

The Danish government and parliamentary committee have approved the 28th military aid package for Ukraine, worth 1.4 billion Danish kroner (approximately $217 million). What the package includes

Denmark allocates 100 million kroner to the “Danish model” to produce weapons directly in Ukraine. More than 370 million kroner will go to the PURL initiative for purchasing American weapons. Denmark designates 80 million kroner for fuel, which NATO’s Support and Supply Agency will procure. Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said the package will help Ukraine gain decisive combat capabilities in the coming months.

Previous support and overall amounts

The previous, 27th aid package, worth 2.6 billion kroner ($407 million), was announced in September. Since 2022, Denmark has allocated almost 71 billion kroner to support Ukraine – both already provided and planned. This makes Denmark one of Ukraine’s leading European partners in terms of military assistance.

Conclusion

The new package shows that Denmark continues to strengthen its support for Ukraine. It aligns with initiatives from other countries, including Germany, which plans to provide more than €11.5 billion in 2025. The aid includes weapons, fuel, and weapons production. This support enhances Ukraine’s defense capabilities. It also strengthens Ukraine’s position in resisting Russian aggression.
