Ukrainian defenders launched successful strikes on Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Units of the Defense Forces destroyed enemy command posts, ammunition depots, and high-value military equipment. These operations took place on April 26 and the night of April 27, 2026.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the military continues to reduce the combat potential of the occupation forces systematically.
Specifically, Ukrainian units eliminated an ammunition depot and a command-observation post near Selydove in the Donetsk region. Furthermore, the Defense Forces struck a Russian “Tornado-S” multiple launch rocket system in temporarily occupied Melitopol. Currently, officials are clarifying the extent of the damage and the total losses of the Russian personnel.
Elimination of Command Posts and Repair Units
The Defense Forces also successfully attacked enemy UAV control centers near Malynivka and Huilaipole. In addition, a Russian repair unit came under fire in the village of Mykolaivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. These actions aim to exhaust the aggressor’s resources within the occupied territories of Ukraine. General Staff representatives assured that measures to degrade the enemy’s capabilities will continue.
“The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to take measures to reduce the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces,” the General Staff emphasized.
The Ukrainian army currently focuses on destroying the enemy’s logistical chains and communication nodes. Notably, the destruction of “Tornado-S” equipment significantly weakens Russian artillery capabilities in the southern direction. Meanwhile, authorities are still determining the precise number of Russian casualties and the full scale of the damage inflicted.
Previously, The Ukrainian Review reported that the Defense Forces strike a major oil refinery in Northern Russia and military trains.
