It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of combat medic Peter Fouché.
For two years he had been helping the Ukrainian military, and a few months ago he became a full-fledged member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
My mission in Ukraine since I arrived here was as an instructor. I was teaching soldiers how to shoot and some combat tactics, and then I started Project Konstantin, which was doing humanitarian deliveries and rescues around Ukraine for civilians, and that evolved into casualty evacuations of injured soldiers in and around Bakhmut and eventually in Serebryansky Lis [Wood], and that has evolved into me now joining the army as a full-time medic, — Peter Fouché said in an interview to the Ukrainian Review.
Pat’s unwavering dedication and commitment to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people has left an indelible mark on the countless lives he has touched
Peter was actively involved in the rescue of over 200 wounded Ukrainian soldiers, the evacuation of civilians from the most dangerous frontline cities, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the residents of these cities.
We honour Pete’s memory as a defender, combat medic and volunteer.
We express our condolences to his family and friends.
