ATESH partisans destroy an electric locomotive in the Lipetsk region

10.05.2026

Agents of the ATESH partisan movement conducted a successful sabotage operation on a railway section in the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation. During the mission, underground fighters destroyed a freight electric locomotive used by the occupiers to transport military equipment. This incident significantly slowed down the transfer of enemy reserves and weaponry toward the Sumy direction.

The ATESH partisan movement reported the successful operation via its official social media channels.

Movement representatives noted that the railway remains a vital artery for meeting the needs of the Russian army. Disabling even a single unit of equipment creates a logistical collapse in specific sectors of the frontline.

Impact of sabotage on Russian logistics

Freight locomotives play a decisive role in delivering ammunition, fuel, and heavy weaponry from deep within Russia to active combat zones. The damage to this electric locomotive prevents its further use in forming military echelons. Consequently, the Ukrainian underground consistently destroys the enemy’s military infrastructure from the inside.

“The disabled electric locomotive will no longer be able to participate in the transportation of military echelons, which means another part of the enemy’s logistics system has been stopped,” the partisans stated.

Strengthening air defense around Moscow

In addition to this, Russia is attempting to strengthen its security in other regions. Around Moscow, the occupiers are currently building a fourth ring of air defense. According to Drone Bomber analysts, the number of confirmed air defense points in the Moscow region has increased to 232 units. The occupiers are deploying Pantsir, S-300, and S-400 systems to protect the capital, leaving other regions vulnerable.

Previously, The Ukrainian Review reported that the SBU detained a Russian agent in Odesa who planned to kill a Navy official by May 9.
