President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects that a new schedule for the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense (Ramstein format) may be agreed soon, Hromadske reports.
He said this during a press conference after the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit in Croatia.
According to him, the reason for postponing the meeting is “quite obvious”. He commented on the US President’s choice to postpone his trip to Germany because of Hurricane Milton.
Any leader in similar circumstances would have stayed in their country, – Zelenskyy said.
Nevertheless, Zelenskyy noted that the Ramstein leadership format is “particularly significant”.
Therefore, we understand that a new schedule may be prepared in the near future. Actually, it is best to coordinate with all partners at Ramstein to implement the specific content of the victory plan. Firstly, the military points that strengthen us at the front, – the President emphasized.
The President of Ukraine also said that not only leaders but also defense ministers would see the victory plan at the meeting, as “many things” depend on the departments.
It was decided to postpone the Ramstein meeting because Joe Biden could not make it on the scheduled date of October 12. It is worth noting that after the American leader postponed the trip, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken did the same.
