U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on May 14 in the morning for an unannounced visit. This is his fourth visit to Kyiv since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022. Blinken arrived by overnight train from Poland.
“Military aid from USA, which was previously approved by Congress, will soon arrive in Ukraine”, – said Antony Blinken.

“We all admire your resilience, your strength, your leadership. We know that these are difficult times, but we also know that the aid has already been approved, it is already on its way, it will soon arrive in Ukraine”, – Blinken added.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, asked for Patriot air defence batteries to fully protect the Kharkiv region.
Two Patriots for the Kharkiv region could significantly contribute to the protection of lives from Russian terror, according to the President of Ukraine.
“Visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The situation on the battlefield, support for our soldiers and further defense cooperation were discussed in detail. In particular, they talked about Patriot systems for Ukraine, for the protection of our cities and communities, such as Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. Two Patriotsfor the Kharkiv region could significantly help protect lives from Russian terror.
Preparations for the Global Peace Summit were also discussed. It is important for us that the United States, President Biden participate, and that America’s role in maintaining a rules-based world order does not weaken.

Meanwhile PM of Denmark Frederiksen said that Europe need another 5-6 PATRIOT batteries for Ukraine.
She called on other European countries to follow Germany’s example and provide Ukraine with more Patriot air defence systems.
