The soldiers of the 28th separate mechanized brigade have shoot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft.
The fate of the crew is still unknown, but we know for sure that there is one less problem for our infantry, – the brigade said.
The Khortytsia military grouping also reported that the aircraft was shot down today in the Kramatorsk area of Donetsk region. It was trying to fire at the positions of the Defense Forces.
As of today, the Russian attack aviation has one fewer aircraft. Its wreckage decorates Donetsk landscapes, – the military noted.
In the morning report, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that over the past day, Ukrainian troops destroyed another Russian aircraft, the 368th since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. It is not yet known whether the report refers to the Su-25 attack aircraft that was destroyed by the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade today.
The Su-25 is a single-seat armored subsonic attack aircraft designed to provide air support in the combat zone during the day and night with visual visibility of the target, as well as to destroy objects with specified coordinates in case of flight weather. The target can be ground and surface targets, as well as low-altitude slow-moving air targets (helicopters and transport aircraft).
