The Ukrainian military launched a series of successful strikes against air defense systems and logistics bases in occupied territories. Between March 14 and March 16, units hit Tor SAM systems, radar stations, and command posts across four regions.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported these developments on Telegram.
“As part of reducing the offensive potential of the Russian aggressor, our units struck at the enemy’s air defense systems and control points,” the statement said.
Additionally, the Special Operations Forces (SOF) disclosed details of their successful missions. To reduce the aggressor’s offensive potential, Ukrainian units destroyed a Tor-M1 system near Korobkyne in the Luhansk region. Another Tor system was neutralized near Balashivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. In the Donetsk region, forces damaged an S-300 radar station near Chervone.
Beyond air defense assets, Ukrainian strikes targeted command and observation posts in Stepne and Bahate. Simultaneously, Middle-strike SOF units conducted operations deep into occupied territories, reaching several hundred kilometers. In Sevastopol, at the Khersones airfield, they destroyed a logistics warehouse and electronic warfare stations.
Resistance Movement and SOF coordination
The Ukrainian Resistance Movement facilitated these strikes by tracking enemy equipment movements. In the Zaporizhzhia region, defense forces attacked an armored vehicle repair base in Yakymivka and a logistics center in Berestove. In Andriivka, units hit a maintenance base and an ammunition warehouse. These asymmetric actions undermine Russia’s ability to conduct its full-scale war.
Destroying scarce air defense systems such as the Tor significantly weakens the protection of Russian ground forces. During the first half of March, the “Birds of Magyar” unit reported the destruction of over 20 Russian air defense units. Combat operations in the temporarily occupied territories continue, and enemy losses are currently being verified.
