The United Kingdom will deliver at least 120,000 drones to Ukraine in 2026, marking the largest drone package since the start of the full-scale war. Deliveries have already begun as part of broader military assistance.

RBK-Ukraine reports this, citing the UK Ministry of Defence.
What equipment Ukraine will receive
The package includes multiple types of drones already used on the battlefield:
- long-range strike drones;
- reconnaissance UAVs;
- logistics systems;
- maritime platforms.
This support covers both offensive and defensive needs of Ukraine’s military.
In addition to drones, the United Kingdom confirmed it will supply:
- hundreds of thousands of artillery shells;
- thousands of missiles for air defense systems.
Total UK military assistance in 2026 amounts to about £3 billion. The government will direct part of the funding to British companies, including Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics.
UK reaffirms support for Ukraine
UK Defence Secretary John Healey said London will continue to support Ukraine despite global tensions:
“In the fifth year of Putin’s brutal war, the United Kingdom is stepping up and delivering the largest number of drones to Ukraine ever this year”.
He also said Vladimir Putin is trying to distract allies:
“And nothing will deter us from standing with Ukraine for as long as it takes to secure peace”.
Context
Drones have become a key tool in modern warfare. Ukrainian data shows that Russia used around 6,500 strike drones against Ukraine in March 2026 alone.
At the same time, Kyiv actively uses drones for both defense and counterattacks, making such deliveries critically important.
Earlier, The Ukrainian Review reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of a critical shortage of Patriot air defense missiles amid global security tensions.
