On the night of April 20, Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of successful strikes against strategic Russian targets. The operation targeted two large landing ships in occupied Sevastopol, an oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, and several ammunition depots. These actions aim to significantly weaken the logistical support and offensive capabilities of the Russian occupation forces during the full-scale war.

The General Staff of the AFU reported that units hit several important facilities of the Russian aggressor.
Specifically, the “Tuapsinskiy” oil refinery in the Krasnodar region was struck for the second time. The attack hit a tank farm, causing a major fire at the site. Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, confirmed that the operation was carried out by the “Magyar Birds” unit together with Special Operations Forces and Military Intelligence.
Impact on Russian military logistics
In addition to the refinery, the “Hvardiiske” oil depot in temporarily occupied Crimea was hit. The General Staff emphasized the strategic importance of these strikes for the frontline.
“The destruction of these objects reduces the ability to provide fuel to the military units of the Russian aggressor,” the statement said.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian forces confirmed hits on Project 1171 and Project 775 large landing ships in Sevastopol, with damage assessments currently ongoing.
The geography of the strikes also included ammunition depots in Urzuf, Donetsk region, and Loknya, Belgorod region of Russia. Furthermore, the Defense Forces destroyed a UAV warehouse in Nova Karakuba and an enemy command post near Blahodatne. Continuous destruction of military infrastructure effectively limits the occupiers’ pressure in key directions. This systematic approach remains a priority for Ukrainian defenders in their efforts to stop Russian armed aggression.
Previously, The Ukrainian Review reported that Ukraine strikes the Russian drone manufacturer “Atlant Aero”.
