Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Facilities, Plants, and Warehouses

Ukrainian forces have struck some Russian targets, including the Yaroslavsky oil refinery and the Promsintez plant, which produces explosive materials. They also hit warehouses, personnel, and other military-related sites.

Russia’s Oil Sector

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the strikes. During the night of March 28, Ukrainian forces targeted the Yaroslavsky oil refinery in Russia’s Yaroslavl region. A fire broke out at the facility. The refinery is a strategically important enterprise and one of the key assets in Russia’s oil refining sector. It processes about 15 million tons of oil per year. Its output includes gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. Production at the plant is critical for supplying Russia’s military logistics.

The General Staff also said fires were still burning in the morning at the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga refinery in Russia’s Leningrad region. A fire was also reported at the Transneft-Port Primorsk oil terminal.

Promsintez Plant

Ukrainian forces also attacked the Promsintez plant in Chapayevsk, Samara region. According to the General Staff, Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery used domestically produced FP-5 “Flamingo” missiles. An explosion in the production area was confirmed after the strike.

Promsintez specializes in producing components for explosives used in munitions, including bombs and missiles. The plant reportedly produces more than 30,000 tons of military-grade explosives per year.

Strikes on Warehouses and Other Targets

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces also hit fuel and lubricant depots near Donetsk. In the Donetsk region, they struck ammunition warehouses and a repair unit. Also In the Kherson region, Ukraine’s Defense Forces targeted a drone control center and a command observation post. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukrainian troops struck an area where Russian personnel were concentrated. In temporarily occupied Crimea, they hit a logistics warehouse. Ukrainian forces also struck a fuel storage site in Russia’s Bryansk region.

Earlier, The Ukrainian Review reported that Russia claimed a new wave of drone attacks on key infrastructure. Ports in Ust-Luga and Primorsk, as well as a chemical plant in Cherepovets, were reportedly targeted.
