On the night of May 2, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out strikes on Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions. Among the targets were a tactical group of Iskander missile systems, radar stations, and other military assets.

Strikes in Crimea
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on May 2 via social media. According to the statement, Ukrainian units hit several Russian military targets overnight. Specifically, the strikes targeted a tactical group of Iskander operational-tactical missile systems, Podlyot radar stations, and Mis-M1 coastal radar systems. Ukrainian forces also struck ammunition depots and drone command posts.
In particular, Ukrainian forces hit the location of a Russian Iskander tactical group stationed in the temporarily occupied Crimea, near the settlement of Druzhne. Additionally, Ukrainian troops targeted Russian radar systems across the peninsula. These included the Mis-M1 coastal radar station near the settlement of Mayak and the Podlyot radar station in Yevpatoriia.
Furthermore, the General Staff reported on the results of earlier strikes. A Ukrainian attack on April 29 destroyed a Russian ammunition depot located at the Kacha airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson Regions
Ukraine also targeted Russian military assets in other temporarily occupied regions. In Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces struck three Russian drone command posts near Heorhiivka. They also hit a warehouse storing Russian drones in Novopetrykivka.
In Luhansk region, Ukrainian troops targeted a Russian repair unit in the area of Kadiivka. Meanwhile, in Kherson region, Ukrainian forces struck an ammunition depot near Ivanivka.
Earlier, The Ukrainian Review reported that on April 25, 2026, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Shagol military airbase in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region, damaging several Russian aircraft, including Su-57 and Su-34 jets. Separately, overnight on May 1, Ukrainian forces hit multiple targets in Russia and in temporarily occupied territories.
