Ukraine signed a visa-free agreement with Mauritius

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Mauritius Maneesh Gobin have signed a visa-free regime agreement, Espreso reports.

This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Today, on August 8, the ministers held talks and discussed deepening ties between Ukraine and African countries. The foreign ministers also discussed the prospects for trilateral trade and investment cooperation with Mauritius.

It is noted that at the end of the talks, Kuleba and Gobin signed a visa-free agreement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that “at this stage, it will primarily facilitate the travel of Mauritian investors and businessmen to Ukraine to find new work opportunities in our country. After the war is over, the agreement will help increase the number of Ukrainian tourists in Mauritius”.

It is emphasized that the agreement will come into force after the completion of internal procedures in Ukraine and Mauritius.

On August 4, Dmytro Kuleba started his fourth African tour and visited Malawi, Zambia and Mauritius for the first time in his history. On August 5, he also visited the African country of Malawi, where he held talks with President Lazarus Chakwera.
