Ukraine possesses the technological capacity to manufacture two thousand interceptor drones every day. The primary requirement for achieving this production scale remains consistent financial support and a dedicated budget from international partners.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during an interview with Reuters. The Head of State emphasized that every Russian attack will face a calculated response. He noted that Ukraine is developing its own long-range capabilities because global sanction pressure on Russia is currently decreasing.

“We must fight for funding. Funding will provide a strengthening of the defense of the sky from our side. Definitely. Technologies are available. Under the condition of having a budget, Ukraine can produce two thousand interceptor drones per day,” the President remarked.

Protection of critical infrastructure

The Russian Federation has launched the second stage of its winter operation. This campaign targets Ukrainian energy systems and logistics. The enemy’s main objectives include water supply facilities, dams, and reservoirs. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that despite these threats, Ukraine is stronger now than it was at the beginning of winter.

“Russia continues the second stage of its winter operation of strikes against critical infrastructure. The targets at this stage for them are water supply, reservoirs, dams, logistics, etc,” Zelenskyy noted.

Blackmail and geopolitics

The President also highlighted the Kremlin’s attempts to blackmail the United States using the situation in the Middle East. Russia uses intelligence as a manipulation tool. Specifically, Moscow offers to stop sharing data with Iran if Washington ceases its support for Ukraine. Zelenskyy described this as blatant blackmail that could impact the information exchange between partners.

Regarding peace negotiations, Kyiv’s position remains firm. Russia seeks only ultimatums, demanding the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from controlled areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia disregards the lives of its soldiers. The Kremlin is willing to lose hundreds of thousands of people to seize territory. This approach radicalizes Russian society and poses a direct threat to Europe, particularly the Baltic states.

Previously, The Ukrainian Review reported that Ukraine is offering partners to invest in joint weapons production and calls for strengthening sanction pressure on Russia.
