Ukraine attacks key military and logistics facilities in Russia and occupied territories

On the night of February 21, Ukrainian forces carried out a series of strikes against military and logistics facilities in Russia. They also attacked targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

Strikes on military and logistics facilities in Russia

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a defense industry enterprise – the Votkinsk Plant in the Russian city of Votkinsk.

According to the General Staff, the AFU used FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles in the attack. A fire was recorded on the plant’s premises. The results of the strike are being clarified.

The Votkinsk Plant is one of the key manufacturers of Russian missile weapons. It produces RS-24 “Yars” intercontinental ballistic missiles in various modifications, “Bulava” ballistic missiles for Project 955A “Borei-A” submarines, as well as missiles for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system and the Kinzhal air-launched missile complex.

In addition, according to preliminary information, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Neftegorsk gas processing plant in Russia’s Samara region. The facility is involved in supporting the needs of the Russian occupation army. A fire was also reported at the site.

Strikes on targets in occupied territories

In the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces struck a fuel and lubricants depot in Donetsk. They also hit a workshop for the production and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles near the settlement of Nova Karakuba.

In the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a warehouse of material and technical supplies belonging to Russian troops. Units also hit a Russian Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system near the settlement of Astrakhanka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Enemy losses and the final scale of damage are being clarified.

“As part of systematic efforts to reduce the combat capabilities of the aggressor state, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to strike military facilities and equipment of the Russian aggressor in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine,” the General Staff stated.

The report also mentioned attacks on targets in Crimea. Near the city of Inkerman, Ukrainian forces struck two Project 22460 “Okhotnik” border patrol ships. There were hits on the targets. In Yevpatoria, the AFU hit two Be-12 aircraft at the Yevpatoria Aviation Repair Plant.

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue systematically reducing the aggressor’s combat potential, depriving it of the ability to conduct offensive operations,” the General Staff added.

Earlier, The Ukrainian Review reported that Ukraine made its largest frontline advance in the past 2.5 years. Ukraine’s Defense Forces recaptured 201 square kilometers of territory from Russian troops between February 11 and 15.
