The President of Lithuania and the Prime Minister of Latvia visit Kyiv

On September 11, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa arrived in Kyiv. They will take part in the Crimean Platform summit.

The politicians announced this on the social network X on the morning of September 11, Suspilne reports.

I have just arrived in Kyiv. I am glad to return and meet with my dear friend Volodymyr Zelenskyy in solidarity with Ukraine, – Nausėda wrote.

He added that providing military and economic support to Ukraine is crucial to protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Morning in Kyiv. Latvia will be with the Ukrainian people until they win, and will always support Ukraine on its way to the European Union and NATO! Glory to Ukraine! – the Latvian Prime Minister wrote.

According to the office of the head of the Latvian government, the prime minister is on a working visit to Ukraine from Wednesday, September 11, to Friday, September 13. During the visit, she will meet with Ukrainian officials and take part in events to discuss Latvia’s future military, political, humanitarian, financial and other support for Ukraine until it defeats the aggressor Russia and Ukraine’s course to join the European Union and NATO, the press service said.

The Crimean Platform is a new international consultation and coordination format initiated by Ukraine.

The Platform’s activities were officially launched at the inaugural Summit in Kyiv on August 23, 2021. The Crimean Platform gathers under its auspices thematic events and initiatives on the Crimean issue within international organizations, as well as other international governmental and non-governmental forums.
