We paid special attention to the progress in Ukraine’s fulfillment of the requirements for EU membership, such as the recent ratification of the Rome Statute, as well as further steps on both sides to make progress in the EU accession negotiations, – Kuleba said in a press release.

The Ukrainian official added that he and the EU representative also coordinated efforts to implement the Peace Formula in preparation for the second Peace Summit. They also talked about joint actions to increase political, diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia and its allies.

In his account X Josep Borrell wrote that he and Kuleba discussed military support for Ukraine and the need to lift restrictions on the use of weapons against Russian military targets if the strikes are carried out in accordance with international law.

We also exchanged views on the diplomatic track and the Ukrainian formula for peace, – the European diplomat added.
