Rheinmetall hands over 20 more Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The German arms concern Rheinmetall has transferred another 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front. In total, the company has directly or indirectly transferred 200 infantry fighting vehicles to Kyiv.
The company clarified that the delivery was scheduled for the end of the third quarter of 2024, in September. And the cost of the package is “a double-digit amount of millions of euros”.Most of the infantry fighting vehicles that Rheinmetall handed over to Kyiv are Marder 1A3 models.
Ukraine submitted the instrument of ratification of the Rome Statute to the UN Secretariat
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra has submitted the instrument of ratification of Ukraine’s accession to the Rome Statute to the UN Secretariat.
Now the Rome Statute is finally with Ukraine. It was a difficult path, but we have passed it and we are proud of this achievement, – Iryna Mudra said.
This means that Ukraine will officially join the Rome Statute on January 1, 2025.
Rheinmetall is building 4 weapons production plants in Ukraine
Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger said that they will build 4 plants in Ukraine to produce various types of weapons. According to him, the first plant is already operating, and the second and third plants, which are still under construction, will produce gunpowder and ammunition.
As for the fourth plant, the company director noted that it will produce air defense systems.
Rheinmetall’s first batch of Lynx infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine will consist of 10 vehicles, delivery to begin this year

Zelenskyy signs law allowing foreigners to serve under contract as officers in the Armed Forces
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Law No. 12023, which allows foreigners and stateless persons to hold officer positions.

Canada has shipped a batch of LAV 6.0 ACSV armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The vehicles were handed over to Ukrainian troops at a base in Germany. The date of the transfer and the number of vehicles delivered were not disclosed.
These vehicles will help Ukraine in its further defense against the illegal invasion of its land, – the Canadian Armed Forces’ Joint Task Force Ukraine (Operation UNIFIER) said in a statement.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has refused to recognize the parliamentary elections, the results of which she called “totally rigged.”
I do not recognize these elections. These elections cannot be recognized. This is the same as recognizing Russia’s entry here, Russia’s conquest of Georgia. I did not come to the country for this.
