430,790 Neutralized Soldiers: Russian Army Losses in 2024
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has released statistics on Russian personnel and equipment losses over the past year.
December saw the highest irreversible and sanitary losses in Russian manpower — 48,670 soldiers — the highest number since the start of the full-scale invasion. The total amount (430 790 neutralized soldiers in 2024) is higher than in 2022 and 2023 summarily.
Ukrainian Defense Forces have also destroyed 3,689 tanks, 8,956 armored combat vehicles, 313 multiple-launch rocket systems, 407 air defense systems, and 13,050 artillery units. The number of wrecked and destroyed vehicles for various purposes throughout the year is 21,345.
15%: Ukraine has increased the export rate in 2024.
In 2024, Ukrainian exports brought the state more than $41 billion, — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a daily address.
The task for the year 2025 is to continue this growth. I am grateful to all our Government officials, diplomats, Ukrainian businesses — everyone who ensures our ties with the world. And, of course, I want to thank each of our warriors, all the units that ensure the security of our export routes, especially in the Black Sea.
He outlined the strengthening of the partnership with Syria and Lebanon and emphasized that 2025 will also bring a more active engagement with Africa.
The 3rd of January: Polish farmers prepare mass protest in Warsaw
The farmers will gather near the European Commission’s representative office, Farmer.pl announced.
Among the reasons are import from Ukraine and the European Green Deal.
All the agricultural organizations that are in our country will protest against the harmful policies of the European Union, against Ms. Ursula von der Leyen, who imposes this tone of policy that will make, our farms have to close down — said Tomasz Obszanski, chairman of the Independent Self-governing Trade Union of Individual Farmers.
The protest is organized by the Agreement of Agricultural Organizations, which includes 21 members.
China adds US entities to export control list
The control list consists of manufacturers of weapons and military equipment, — reported Reuters with a reference to a statement by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
Since today, Chinese authorities have prohibited the export of dual-use goods for these companies, among which are General Dynamics, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Missiles & Defense. The Chinese site called this decision a protection of national security and interests. 10 of the positions from the list have participated in arms sales to the Taiwan region.
At least 10 people injured: shooting in New York
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), none of them is in critical condition, — AMNY reported. Three to four gunmen opened fire on a group standing outside a nightclub in Queen`s borough during a private event. The event probably was in honor of a known gang slain member.
No arrests have been made yet and the reasons for the shooting are currently unknown.
