US Secretary of State Blinken and British Foreign Secretary Lammy arrive in Kyiv

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, September 11, for a visit.

This was reported by the European Broadcasting Union, according to Suspilne.

In the capital, they will meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and government officials.

According to the State Department’s website, the parties will discuss further support for Ukraine to protect it from Russian aggression, as well as ways to secure Ukraine “militarily, economically, and democratically in the long term”.

The next day, September 12, Antony Blinken is scheduled to travel to Poland. There, the U.S. Secretary of State will meet with Polish officials to discuss a number of important bilateral issues, including deepening defense and energy cooperation, as well as the work of the two countries as NATO members in support of Ukraine’s defense.

Earlier it became known that on September 11, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa and Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil arrived in Kyiv.

Earlier, Axios journalistJuliegrace Brufke quoted US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul as saying that during his visit to Kyiv on September 11, Blinken may inform Ukrainians about Washington’s permission to strike deep into Russia with US long-range ATACMS missiles.
